Support the Grand Foundation When You File Your Taxes!

Colorado has turned tax time into a new season of giving. The Donate to a Colorado Nonprofit program allows you to use your state income tax return to make a big difference in our community.

If you’re due a state income tax refund, this ReFund program gives you the opportunity to gift some or all of it directly to the Grand Foundation or a participating nonprofit of your choice. All you have to do is:

  • Decide how much of your state income tax refund to donate (all or a portion of it).
  • Enter the Grand Foundation as the recipient and our registration number 20053008820 in the Donate to a Colorado Nonprofit Fund line on your state tax return or tax software.
  • Or provide this information to your tax advisor when they are preparing your tax documents.

Colorado is one of the few states in which you can claim charitable giving on your state tax return. The Colorado Tax Incentive for Charitable Giving says that taxpayers who have claimed the basic standard deduction on their federal return, and therefore can't benefit from a federal itemized deduction for charitable contributions, can take a subtraction on their Colorado return.

With the new Donate to a Colorado Nonprofit program, you can put that state return right back into a charitable donation for this year! Giving starts close to home, so ReFund what matters to you!
