Grand County Co-Responder Program

The Grand County Co-Responder Program is a collaborative initiative being developed to deliver the right care, in the right place, at the right time for individuals experiencing behavioral health, mental health, or substance-related crises. The program pairs a Grand County EMS provider with a mental health crisis clinician to respond together to appropriate 911 calls, focusing on stabilization, clinical assessment, and connection to community-based services rather than default transport to the emergency department. As the secondary beneficiary of the Grand Gala, funds will directly support program implementation to improve patient outcomes while strengthening Grand County’s overall emergency response system.
