From the beginning in 1996, the Grand Foundation has been here to improve the quality of life for residents and guests in Grand County. We work everyday to proactively address current and future needs in the areas of Health & Human Services, Arts & Culture, Education, Sports & Recreation, and Environment.
This year has been as busy as ever for the Grand Foundation.
We had the unique opportunity, thanks to Winter Park Resort and Alterra Mountain Company, to auction off 100 Pioneer Express Lift Chairs to raise over $70,000 for the H.O.P.E. (Healing Opportunities through Prevention Efforts) Fund.
The H.O.P.E. Fund is dedicated to supporting and expanding Grand County mental health advocacy and services, substance abuse prevention and recovery services, and access to outdoor recreation as a protective factor to support mental and physical well-being.
We have worked on expanding BuildingHopeGrand.com, a one stop shop mental heath website for Grand County.
We are honored to be presented in the Paradise Paradox documentary, a film about mental health in mountain resort towns, available soon on streaming services!
In 2023 we donated the Black Bear Lodge to the Grand County Housing Authority. Providing affordable units for wildfire families and Grand County workforce.
We continue to support the housing needs of Grand County with the Winter Park and Grand County Housing Assistance Funds, awarding out over $200,000 in 2023 in rental and down payment assistance grants.
In addition we continue to collaborate with other organizations on housing infrastructure projects.
On Colorado Gives Day you helped us raise over $176,000 for the Grand Foundation, supporting many of the projects and programs we are working on.
The annual Grand Gala, Grand Classic Golf Tournament, Casino Royale Night, and Bags for Brammer Cornhole Tournament each supporting our community.
And that was just the beginning, so much more was accomplished thanks to you generosity!
We are amazed by Grand County’s ability to step up for each other no matter what we are faced with. We live in such a special place and we celebrate the passion our residents have for this community.
