Wow!, is the first thing that comes to mind knowing how the Grand Foundation has improved education for the High School EMT students. The grant funding support from the Grand Foundation and East Grand Education Foundation allowed Grand County EMS Education Division to purchase high fidelity training manikins providing realistic hands-on training. Additionally, GCEMS has been able to introduce an innovative approach designed for the millennial’s using Reflective Learning Feedback.
The Grand Foundation and the East Grand Education Foundation commitment for improving education for our community’s high school students is working in collaboration with the vision of Grand County EMS. The High School EMT course is thriving as it enters its 11th year because of the grant support from the Grand Foundation and East Grand Education Foundation. The Class of 2016 added to the number of high school seniors who have attended the High School EMT course total to 140. Grand County EMS is a community service achieving success with the aid and support of the Grand Foundation.
The Grand County EMS team is grateful and thankful for all of the support from the leadership of Megan Ledin and Stacy Star. They are very helpful, understanding, and informative in helping to understand the mission of the Grand Foundation.
Thank you, Ray Jennings, Chief
