Northwest Rocky Mountain CASA was established in 2008 in Grand County at the request of Chief Justice Judge Mick O’Hara and Judge Mary Hoak, and through the dedication of community member and former CASA volunteer Kim Linin. Northwest Rocky Mountain CASA began advocating for abused and neglected children in Grand County in 2009, and expanded advocacy services to Moffat County in 2010 and Routt County in 2011.
Since 2008, Northwest Rocky Mountain CASA has received $59,382.50 in funding from the Grand Foundation. We advocated for 8 children in Grand County in 2009. Since that time, our volunteers have advocated for over 35 abused and/or neglected Grand County children. We are grateful to the Grand Foundation for all of their support, and for helping us to become a thriving nonprofit organization.
